General Biology

General Biology Program

General biology is the most common and fundamental field of biology in which plants and animals are studied both molecularly and cellularly, and at the level of organism and population. Studieson radiobiology, relationship of chromosome instability and radiosensitivity with aging and cancer, biological dosimetry, obtaining and molecular/biochemical typing of plant mutants, in vitro and in vivo techniques, cell and tumour biology, toxicology, molecular cancer biology, bioinformatics, cancer data mining, marine ecotoxicology and radioecologyare carried out in the General Biology Program. MSci and PhD degrees are conducted in the General Biology Program.
