Atomicand Molecular Physics Program

Atomic and Molecular Physics, which focuses on the applications of the theoretical physicsfieldknown as quantumphysicstoatomicandmolecularsystems, is a fundamentalscientificresearchareawithextensiveapplications in scienceandtechnology as well as in industry. The "Atomicspectroscopy" and "Molecularspectroscopy" methodsshown in masteranddoctoratecourses of theAtomicandMolecularPhysics Program arethemeasurementandanalysistoolswidelyused in scientificstudiesandindustry. Thesespectroscopymethodsarewidelyusedespecially in element analysis, in molecularstructureanalysis, in materialscience, in production of chemicalmaterials, in pharmacology, in medicineandhealthsciences. TheAtomicandMolecularPhysics Program includesscientistswhousethespectroscopymethodsmentionedabove, carryoutlaboratorystudies, presentmaster'sanddoctoratelessons, andact as thesisadvisor. "LaserSpectroscopyLaboratory", "MolecularSpectroscopyLaboratory", "MolecularSimulationLaboratory" and "ChemicalLaboratory" researchlaboratoriesconstitutetheresearchinfrastructure of this program.
